Lucy Ormonde is the founder of Pep Talk Productions, bringing more than 15 years of experience creating unforgettable content and events for women.

Her path to Pep Talk has been anything but conventional. Lucy began her career as a journalist at regional newspaper The Colac Herald, before heading to Sydney to join Mia Freedman’s Mamamia in its early days.

Over more than five years with Mamamia, she rose to lead the editorial team before leaving publishing to pursue her true passion: live events.

During her seven years at Business Chicks, Lucy produced large-scale events across Australia, Los Angeles, New York and even Richard Branson’s Necker Island. Along the way, she worked with an extraordinary line-up of global talent including Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Elizabeth Gilbert, Kate Hudson, Gabby Bernstein and Jane Goodall.

Since then, the Pep Talk team has led multiple Mamamia Out Loud live tours, overseen the expansion of Lise + Sarah’s Disco Club from one city to eight, and produced Gwyneth Paltrow’s only Australian event.

Pep Talk Productions was built on one simple belief: if women are going to rally the group chat to leave the house, the experience bloody better be worth it.
